Volkswagen Jetta.
Some of these pics are a little older, thats why the bumpers look gray and the wheels look tarnished in some, I have since resolved that as best I can.
Things are coming up, and I feel I have to part ways with my Jetta. It’s an 89 GLI Wolfsburg Edition, in Helios Blue Metallic. I’m not going to lie, its in a little bit of rough shape in some places; I want to be clear it is a project, and having many of the previous owners, it’s had a pretty hard life.It was repainted maybe a year or so ago, maybe a little longer perhaps.It runs fairly well, never as good as it should, due to some of the pretty sus repairs that have been made along its life.The interior is all there, aside from the speakers, the headliner is black and red plaid, and I honestly cannot tell you if thats factory inspired or just someone spicing it up.This vehicle does not have a/c installed. The compressor is there, the lines have never been present since ive owned it; Heat works good though.I’ve been unable to really find real original Helios BBS RAs, so its currently on Felgenwerks Teardrop multipiece reps; the center caps have been painted to match, theyre not yellowIt’s on an unknown set of coilovers, that are currently turned as high as I could get them to clear the wheels, but it goes stupid low if you’re into that.I have some of the pieces of the outer door mouldings, but again, I’ve not been able to get all of them; In the pics attached the front and rear bumpers appear gray, but ive since used some bumper darking ****, that worked pretty well.The gauge cluster, the bane of my existence, the odometer and by extension trip meter do not work, nor does the gas gauge. The Speedo and Tach work though.
It does run and drive, you *can* feasibly drive it home, but I would do so at your own risks just because of its age and you just never know when its gonna go down again.
