1989 Mustang 5.0 Convertible – Original California Car so it’s a clean chassis and body. Interior is all intact with no rips or damage (9.5 out of 10 on interior). Has original carpet and stereo. And yes the ashtray is in working order. The original owner of the car purchased the car then sent it to Saleen headquarters in California and added all the Saleen options that he could. I have all the original receipts from Saleen and the original dealership contract for the car. I also have the maintenance folder with receipts as well. The Saleen Options that were added are:All Saleen Suspension on all 4 corners5 Lug Cobra conversion disc brakes all aroundSaleen Typhoon intake ($4000 value today)Speedline Rims ($3500 value today) Recently new tires with less than 500 miles on themSaleen Boost and Fuel AC gauge cluster ($2700 value today)Vortec Supercharger w/ 11 lbs boost with MSD boost retard systemOther work done (not by Saleen)347 Stroker Motor (Have build sheet – see pics)Aluminum HeadsBBK Headers (Shorts)FMUBuilt TKO 5 speed transmission (just recently brand new King Cobra Clutch with adjustable clutch quadrant)Built posi rear end (have build sheet for this)Welded Sub-frame connectors installed3 inch Exhaust with Flowmaster 40 series (dumps)This is all the goodies on the car. I may be forgetting a few things. Please reach out to me if you have any questions. This is a great car and fast. Dyno’d in at 489 HP with 464 lbs of torque (the car has hit over 524 HP but stayed with the conservative 489 HP tune that it has now – its safe) The car has 122000 miles on it and is not 100% perfect – its a 1989 that has been driven. I have recently sold my house with that had an extra garage and I just cannot let this car sit outside. So I have decided to reluctantly sell it. Now the bad on the car:Paint is a 7 out of 10. Paint is original and had chips on the hood and some areas of the car. The car has some impression dings from over the years. Convertible works as it should – goes up and down great and does not leak but the rear glass window is starting to sag. It can be fixed by a convertible top guy for less than $300 (I was just quoted this recently). I do have the original convertible boot cover – its in good shape. All windows work as they should – as all convertible quarter windows loosen and wiggle a little bit. But the do work properly and seal.Third Break Light on trunk lid has started to have a leak underneath it. – not a hard fix, just haven’t done it because it sat inside. It’s done it for 10 years. I do have 2 notebooks with all the receipts and technical info on the build of this car and it all totals up to $28500 plus the original purchase price of the car. I do have video of the car running. Reach out to me if you want me to send it to you.
