West Coast Classics are proud to present a beautiful example of this original southern California owner and always primarily dealer maintained 1988 Ford Mustang GT 5.0L V8 Convertible with an automatic transmission with Overdrive and loaded with factory options and with the iconic 5.0L V8 engine and only 54K original miles!
The 3rd generation Mustang’s were produced from 1978 to 1993. Built on Fords legendary ‘Fox platform’, they evolved through a number of sub-models, trim levels, and drivetrain combinations during its production life. It underwent several changes for 1987 and for a time seemed destined for replacement with a front wheel drive Mazda platform before company executives were swayed by overwhelming consumer excitement and demand to keep the ‘Fox’ body platform. Enthusiasts group the generation into two segments: the initial 1979-1986 cars, with their quad headlight arrangement and the later 1987-1993 cars with their aero composite headlamped front fascia styling. Production ended with the introduction of the 4th generation Mustang for the 1994 model year.
Finished in ‘Black’ color exterior paint over a ‘Gray’ two-tone lower with a beautiful ‘Oxford White over Medium Gray’ Leather Articulated Bucket Sports Seats interior and a ‘Black’ color power soft top this particular car is a very fine example with low original miles and which drives as new and has obviously always been well maintained.
You will look long and hard to find a finer looking or driving example of this original southern California and loaded 1988 Ford Mustang GT 5.0L V8 Convertible with only 54K original miles, for the ultimate and most likely fastest in it’s class of all 1980’s American muscle car driving fun and increasingly collectible and desirable ‘Fox’ body Mustang!
