1982 Buick Electra that we purchased new at our local Buick dealer on 7-26-82. In June of 1986 we sold this Buick to our uncle and it had 34,000 miles on it. Our 82 year old uncle passed away last summer and we bought our Buick and 2 other cars from his estate. The Buick now has 42,963 miles which equates to approximately 300 exercise miles per year. Always properly stored and maintained. This is a drive anywhere car. Those of you who know these Buicks know of some of their issues. Front coil springs get weak allowing the front end to set lower than it should. He had new front coil springs and shocks installed. Left and right bumper fillers crack – these have been replaced. The hoods on these fade, he had the hood properly refinished in factory original dark redwood color. Recent new radiator and battery. The vinyl top is exceptionally nice, usually the threads are all frayed. Nice cold air, working original power antenna. The interior is all original and very nice, including a non-sagging headliner. Power options work as they should, and a nice dry under carriage. The bumper strips are very nice.
