1980 Land Rover Series 3 109″, 4cyl 2.25l Petrol Engine high compression head, right- hand drive with safari double roof top. Rover has Fairey Overdrive and manual lockout hubs in front. 4wd hi and low work great. It has 125k miles on it and going up as I still drive it. Mpg is about 18 mpg. Said to be the most reliable motor Land Rover ever made.  In the last 4 years the following has been done: New transmission, new rear main seal, new exhaust from manifold to tailpipe, new Optima Red Top battery and cut- off switch, new Alternator, new clutch, new master cylinder, new mechanical fuel pump, new inline electric fuel pump as a backup (vapor lock), new fuel lines, new fuel tank and filler hose. New front end (swivel balls, seals, control arms, tie rods, tie rod ends, bushings, steering damper). New brake lines, new drums and shoes all around, heavy duty leaf springs, ProComp Shocks all the way around. Rocky Mountain aluminum door tops for front doors that can easily be taken off. New rear door tracks. One side installed. (I have more for middle windows), new interior seats Custom pull out storage unit in rear: 500lb slides. Plus 4 removable storage boxes. Snorkel Kit (not hooked up at present), Land Rover bike Rack not included, Cb radio, custom lockable box w/ stereo. New Hella headlights and 1Rear aux light. 2 spare tires/ rims. Lots of life left on the tires. Recent Alignment. Frame is solid. No rust. Except on left horn assembly.
